When you're 18 and living in Philadelphia, there's a lot of crazy things you can get hooked on.
Lucky for me, it was radio.That's when I went to work for WFIL.
It was a dream job.
Not because it was easy. But because it was hard.
I ran for coffee. Covered the stories nobody else wanted. Showed up early. Worked late.
Over the next few years I did all jobs you do at a radio station. Reporter. News anchor. Then finally, sports reporter.
Heaven.
Suddenly, I was playing in the Majors.
And behind my booming voice on the air was a little voice in the back of my head.
Telling me I always want to take my game to a new level.
Well, I guess my love for my work must have come out in that voice.
Because a few years later RKO Networks in New York asked me to anchor weekend updates.
And a few years later, when ESPN called me because they were starting the first 24-7 all sports radio network, I was on board.
Then I did the same thing for Fox Sports Network. Only now, I was working out of LA.
Where I seemed to have hit my stride.
I was part of "The Best Damn Sports Show, Period". Joined EA Sports' Inside Madden Football. Radio meets video games.
Now I'm taking sportstalk to a time and place where it's never been before.
Into the Night. Where I bring you the day's sports wrap ups.
Highlights. Commentary. Attitude. Lifestyle.
But we're not sitting still. We'll be taking the show wherever sports personalities meet hot nightlife.
The clubs of LA. Hotels in Vegas. The streets of New York.
And I expect my fans to join me. Wherever we end up.
Just follow my voice.
It sure worked for me.
